Great question! Companies often market their products as 'uncompromising', but that's simply not realistic. Every choice they make means they have to say 'no' to other options. Think of it as a tradeoff; you're exchanging a weakness for a strength.

I see what you mean. So, it's not about being perfect at everything, but rather being exceptional at something specific?

Expert

Exactly! The best products are those that are opinionated. They clearly communicate what they excel at and what they might lack. If a design tries to please everyone, it often ends up being mediocre.

Expert

Sure! Take a look at the iPhone. Apple has made choices that prioritize user experience and design simplicity. They’ve chosen to limit some customizations, which isn’t for everyone, but it allows them to excel in making a user-friendly device.

Exactly! Good design is about making the right compromises for your audience. It’s about knowing who you’re designing for and what they truly need.
