Newsletters to audio

Turn newsletters into a podcast you actually finish

Paste the web link for any newsletter issue — Substack, Ghost, Beehiiv, a plain old blog — and get a podcast episode about it in your feed.

You subscribed because it looked worth reading

And it probably was. But newsletters arrive on their schedule, not yours, and a 3,000-word issue landing at 7am on a Tuesday has almost no chance. The good ones pile up unread, which feels worse than never subscribing. Listening is a much lower bar than reading, and it fits into the parts of your day that reading can't reach.

How it works

  1. 1

    Save a link

Paste a URL, click the bookmarklet in your browser toolbar, or post it to the API.

  2. 2

We write and voice the episode

Bookmark.fm reads the page, scripts a host-and-expert conversation about it, and records both voices.

  3. 3

    Listen wherever you listen

The episode lands in your private podcast feed, ready in your usual app within minutes.

What you get

Works with the web version

Nearly every newsletter publishes each issue at a public URL. Copy that link and Bookmark.fm handles the rest.

Long issues get shorter

The host-and-expert format compresses a long issue into the argument and the details worth keeping.

Batch your week

Save a few issues at once and let your podcast app play through them while you're out.

One feed for everything

Newsletters, essays and articles all land in the same private feed instead of five different inboxes and apps.

Automatic delivery

Once your feed is added to a podcast app, new episodes download on their own.

Transcripts kept

Heard something you want to quote? The transcript and the original link are on the episode page.

Frequently asked questions

Can it read newsletters straight from my inbox?

Not yet — there's no email address to forward to. You give Bookmark.fm the public web link for an issue, which most newsletter platforms include at the top or bottom of every email.

Do subscriber-only issues work?

No. If the web version is behind a paywall or login, the page can't be fetched.

Will I get one episode per issue?

Yes. Each link you save becomes its own episode, so your feed reads like an issue-by-issue archive.

How many can I save per month?

Plans start at 100 episodes a month, which covers a heavy newsletter habit. See pricing for the higher tiers.
